FACELIFT THREADS

The thread lift is a “minimally invasive procedure for the face, neck, or jowls in which threads, which have small cones/graspers on them, are passed under the skin via a large needle. The cones then grab hold of the skin from the under surface and pull to re-suspend the skin in a lifted, more youthful position. The newest threads are disolvable. A thread facelift is a safe, convenient alternative to traditional facelift surgery. Special threads are used during this facelift to discreetly hold re-positioned skin and facial tissue in place after surgery.

  • How Long Does Thread Face Lift Last?

The Contour Thread Lift has been found to give modest improvement in facial contours. The advantages are minimal down time (1 to 3 days) and minimal discomfort. Though there is insufficient data as to the longevity of the Contour Thread Lift effects, they are believed to last from two to five years.

  • Is Thread Lift Permanent?

The technique of permanent thread lift, using tensor notched threads, is always non-surgical and reversible. If absorbable threads bring a very decent result for the young patients, undergoing a small and localized sagging, permanent threads have much better efficiency and durability.

  • Will I Have Pain During Or After The Threadlift Face And Necklift?

After injection of the novocaine, the Threadlift facelift and necklift procedure is completely painless. Patients are very comfortable and some even sleep through their Threadlift facelift procedure! Once the Threadlift is completed, the novocaine will wear off. Any minor discomfort can be treated with ibuprofen.

  • How Long Does It Take To Recover From A Facelift?

Though “recovery” – i.e., the amount of time it will take for you to get back to a relatively normal routine after your facelift – is about two weeks, the time it takes for all of the residual swelling, bruising and changes in skin sensation to resolve themselves is a full year

  • Indications

    Fuzzy face oval

    Wrinkles in the eye area

    Nasolabial folds, “puppet” wrinkles

    Asymmetry of the face

Signs of aging in the neck and decollete

Changes in skin relief (irregularities, atrophic manifestations)

    Double chin

  • Treatment Results

Your wrinkles may not completely disappear but the muscles underneath them should quit moving. It may take four to eight months without movement before the wrinkles begin to smooth out, which will happen especially if you are following the recommended skin care regimen at the same time. All patients should be using daily sunscreen. The injection provides temporary wrinkle-correction so expect to return for follow-up treatments every three to six months. It is better not to let the it completely wear off because this will help prevent the wrinkles form returning.

HIFU NON-SURGICAL FACE LIFT

HIFU stands for “High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound” and is a relatively new cosmetic technology, having only been introduced for use in recent years. HIFU as a form of facial treatment employs the use of concentrated ultrasound energy to the face and neck by a handheld device. It is a non-invasive treatment that helps stimulates the cells, resulting in tissue rejuvenation and collagen production. The overall effect of the treatment is to promote tightening and lifting of the skin in these areas. HIFU treatment can help stimulate tissue rejuvenation and collagen production – resulting in the tightening and lifting of saggy skin – and can also be used to break down fat deposits. In the hands of a skilled practitioner, this can produce results akin to facial sculpting (but without the need for surgery).

  • Is HIFU Treatment Painful?

There can be some discomfort when the ultrasound energy is being applied but it is temporary and a good sign that collagen-building process has begun. All areas of the face are not equal in terms of pain sensation.  The second factor related to pain/discomfort during a HIFU procedure is the type of skin being treated.

  • Is There Any Downtime?

HIFU is an entirely non-invasive procedure and as such, there is no downtime. You are able to return to your normal activities right away, and there are no special measures you need to take.

  • Is HIFU Safe?

The procedure has been cleared after demonstrating safety in clinical studies, and tens of thousands of treatments have been performed safely worldwide. In addition, ultrasound energy has a proven track record, with use in the field of medicine for more than 50 years.

  • What Do I Expect After Treatment?

Some patients have reported mild soreness, which typically resolves itself.

In the presence of these symptoms, the doctor may prescribe pain medications and special facial creams to protect the skin from the UV rays of the sun and other harmful factors in the environment.

  • How Many Sessions Do I Need?

To get the best results, it is advised to have HIFU treatments done for four to six weeks, followed by maintenance sessions at three to four month intervals.

Collagen production is expected to reach its optimum level at two to three months. It is during this period that a patient can already see her facial skin becoming younger-looking, healthier, softer, and supple.

  • How Long Does HIFU Treatment Last?

After your HIFU Treatment, you may see some initial effect, but the ultimate results will take place over 2-3 months, as your body naturally regenerates collagen. Since the procedure stimulates your own collagen production, how long the results last really depends on you.

    Age-related changes.

    Double chin.

Loss of volume in the cheek area.

    Loose neck skin.

Loss of face and jawline contour.

    Deep nasolabial folds.

    Drooping mouth corners.

Sagging eye lids and brow area.

    Fine lines and wrinkles

Sagging skin along the cheeks and eyelids

RADIO FREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a revolutionary new technology that simulates collagen and elastin to tighten the skin. It uses MicroNeedling Fractionated RadioFrequency (MFR) energy in the deep layers of the skin to bring the youth back. The procedure involves placing a hand-piece consisting of Gold-Standards 36 insulated or non-insulated Gold micro-needles on the skin and releasing radio frequency energy inside the skin. The combination of MicroNeedling and Radio Frequency helps penetrate the skin layers, while ensuring the top skin layer is not effected. The technology maximizes comfort and patient satisfaction.

  • What is the Recovery Time

Typically the redness after the treatment subsides even before leaving our clinic, but this may take up to 24 hours.

  • How Long Does The Treatment Take?

The treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes, including the application of anesthetic cream.

  • Does It Hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance varies, but to ensure your comfort we apply anesthetic cream.

    What Happens After?

Your skin will be tighter. You will be instructed what you can do and can’t do after the treatment. Several treatments may be recommended for optimal results; typically 4-6 treatments. The treatments can also be combined with other treatments.

  • How Often Should Microneedling Be Done?

Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least 3 treatments, while scar reduction requires between 3 and 6. 4 to 6 weeks should pass between one treatment and the next, and the number of treatments needed depends on individual cases.

  • What Areas Can Be Treated With Radiofrequency Microneedling?

Many areas of the skin are amenable to treatment .The face is the most common area of treatment, in order to correct wrinkles, scars, or textural changes. However, neck aging and skin crepiness of the neck respond as well. Vertical wrinkles of the decollete area may be treated for chest rejuvenation.

  • What Kind Of Skin Does It Work On?

Most skin colors can be treated, including tanned skin and dark skin.

  • Is There Any Side Effect For Microneedling?

The most common side effect is minor skin irritation immediately following the procedure. You may also see redness for a few days.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma is a 100% natural method that uses the patient’s own blood components to stimulate the renewal of damaged tissue in areas of the face, neck, décolleté, hands and body. Extracted blood platelets that contain proteins, nutrients, and a variety of growth factors are injected in the area to be treated. When growth factors are activated by injection, repair of damaged tissue begins, generating collagen and hyaluronic production. A natural enhancement of the skin’s appearance begins to take place and youthfulness, suppleness and volume are restored to the treated areas.

  • Benefits

PRP benefits you in many ways. It is a safe healing process that has been studied and applied to restore many areas of concern. This treatment accelerates the rejuvenating properties of the body, eliminating the need for cosmetic surgery. PRP is also biocompatible with the human body, requiring little or no recovery time.

This method is extremely safe, with no risk of allergic reaction because the PRP gel is produced by your own blood.

  • What Should I Do Before The Treatment?

Ten days prior to your appointment avoid ingesting substance that will increase your tendency to bruise. Many herbal and alternative medicine products may increase bruising so discuss use of these with your dermatologist. The following are known to increase bruising: alcohol, green tea, ibuprofen, aspirin, Coumadin& warfarin.

  • What Should I Expect During And After Treatment?

PRP is a relatively simple process in the office. The down time is minimal. Most patients do not bruise when they follow these recommendations. However, If you have an event such as a wedding or photo shoot, we recommend that you receive the PRP treatment at last 3 days prior to the event in case bruising occurs, bruising is more likely to occur in very light skinned individuals and red heads.

Prior to the procedure, you will remove all make up and a topical anesthetic is applied to the area to be treated. A very small needle is used to inject the Plasma directly to the skin.

Immediately after the procedure there may be some temporary swelling, redness or minor bruising at the injection sites. This usually subsides and fades quickly. Makeup can be reapplied immediately after the treatment. You may return to normal activities, however, avoid hot showers, saunas or other exposure to heat for 6 hours because these may increase the risk of bruising. Avoid sun exposure and alcohol for 24 hours; these have been associated with redness.
